Who operates movii™

The operator’s legal identity, location and privacy contact are awaiting confirmation. This notice is not an effective final policy.

Information you provide

Accounts use an email address and email/password or Google sign-in. Account records and authentication information are processed by Lovable Cloud. Profiles include a random username and optional display name, biography, pinned movies and family-friendly preference.

Saved information can include watched, loved and watchlist movies; ratings and reviews; friendships and requests; quiz history; Movie DNA; reasons you like movies; favorite actors, directors and composers identified by TMDB person ID; commentary preferences; and recommendation feedback. Favorite people and commentary settings are readable and editable only by their account owner.

Movie recommendations and sharing

movii uses saved movies, taste weights, movie metadata, moods and feedback to rank recommendations. Movie-service requests to TMDB include search text, movie identifiers and discovery criteria. The reviewed recommendation implementation does not send your account email, biography or review text to TMDB.

Reviews you post are public: everyone using movii can read them, including people who are not signed in, shown with your display name or username. Accepted friends can read each other’s movie lists. Currently, profile records are readable by any signed-in user; narrowing profile access is a launch requirement. Username lookup is needed to send friend requests. Do not treat the locked profile display as a privacy guarantee.

Browser storage, visitor measurement and hosting

Sign-in sessions persist in browser storage. A local preference records whether you dismissed the welcome screen. Session storage records recently displayed personalized comments and observation identifiers to reduce repetition, and which Movie DNA sections you expanded; these are scoped to the signed-in account. Personalized commentary can be disabled in Movie DNA. The published site also loads Lovable-hosted visitor scripts and sends visitor events to a same-site endpoint. Hosting cookies were observed. These are separate from application preference storage.

The exact enabled measurement and error-reporting features, purposes and lifetimes of hosting cookies, retention, and any required consent or objection controls must be confirmed before this notice is final. No “cookie-free” or “tracking-free” claim is made. Session replay was inactive during one review visit; that does not establish permanent disablement.

Private administration

A restricted administrator dashboard displays aggregate account registrations, watchlisted movie counts, genres in loved movies, completed quiz counts and favorite-person counts. These are stored product actions, not website visits. The dashboard does not expose individual visitor records or infer their locations. Existing hosting traffic analytics is not yet connected to this dashboard, and no additional visitor tracker has been installed.

Third-party resources

Movie posters and person images load from TMDB’s image service. Fonts load from Google Fonts. These browser requests make connection information available to the service receiving them. Google sign-in involves Google and Lovable’s managed sign-in service. Hosting and account operations involve Lovable Cloud.

Review the TMDB privacy policy, Google privacy policy, and Lovable privacy policy. Provider retention and processing arrangements still require operator review.

Your information and deletion

You can edit profile details, manage movie lists, remove reviews and friendships, and adjust Movie DNA. The preview’s Edit Profile page offers separate personal-data clearing and account deletion actions requiring recent sign-in and deliberate confirmation.

Personal-data clearing removes application records and resets the profile with a new random username while retaining the sign-in account. Account deletion additionally removes the sign-in account. Deletion does not remove your Google account or copies others have made. Hosting logs, backups and independent provider records are not guaranteed to be immediately erased by these actions.

Retention periods, data-access/export request handling, applicable legal rights and any legally required retention need confirmation. A monitored privacy contact must be supplied before launch.

Age eligibility

The intended minimum age and launch regions have not been approved. The family-friendly preference filters selected movie genres; it is not parental consent or a guarantee of age-appropriate content. Child and teen privacy obligations require assessment before launch.
